Can I just tug at the plastic and it will pop out?
If you look inside the pocket (sunglasses holder thing), you will see a clip this on each side. Push those out and pull the back end of the console down a little bit. Then reach up front and get your fingers under the front and pull down. The front clips are usually pretty tough and it feels like you are going to break it. That will give you access to the screws you need to start taking out.
On my 2000 F-350 PSD Lariat, nothing lights up at all. I looked at the fuse information in the owner's manual but I cannot figure out which fuse it might be given the descriptions. What fuse? Under dash? Power Box?
Thanks, 4x4. Checked fuse #19 and it is o.k.. That's the end of it for me. I would have to take it in for repairs and the cost would not be worth it to me. I read all the threads and hoped it was only a fuse. Not to be.
Be careful pulling that thing. We did mine with no problems what so ever. Tried to do it on RussB's truck, damn front clips wouldn't budge for the life of us, and we had to do some fancy crazy glue/plastic welding on the backside.
