Extra-capacity fuel tank

The rear tank is leaking (corrosion) on my truck, so I thought that I would look for an extra-large tank that would fit easily where the rear (original) was. I found this one,
77 Ford F150 1/2 Ton Pickup Truck 38 Gallon Extra Capacity Gas Tank > LMC Truck > 38 Gallon Extra Capacity Gas Tank For 77 Ford F150 1/2 Ton Pickup Truck

Has anyone tried this? Thought maybe the frame rails were too close together on a 92' as opposed to a 79'?

I will have to find out if #1, it would fit on a 1992 F-250, and #2, if it was fabricated from a material that was compatible with diesel.

I also have a Diesel (1991) in need of a rear fuel tank, and was looking at that one as well as the bronco tank, and even thinking of looking into fabricating one to fit the space.

Any info would be greatly appreciated by myself as well.

I know IF the tank itself would work, I would have to come up with a sending unit and pick-up that had the return-line fittings too.

Diesel and gasoline fuel lines "both the supply and return lines" are the same size as my fuel line removal tools and my custom made line plugs (AKA hand fabricated from an old gasoline sender) fit my diesel lines.

If the tank fits between the frame rails, the filler neck and sender hole are the same size and are located in the same places, we should be in business!
