i have a 97 f250 2 wheel drive 460 7.5 motor. I was changing the plugs,wires,fuel filter. I kinda thought i might change the o2 as well but im not sure where this is.
Can someone help me out here.

No, the O2 sensor can usually be removed using an adjustable or open-end wrench of the correct size, but some PB Blaster may be necessary. Not sure about your truck, but some vehicles have an upstream and a downstream O2 sensor. That is, one before and one after the cat.
In either case, just unplug, unscrew, and screw the new one in place with a little anti seize on the threads, then plug back in and you are good to go.
