Keep Alive Memory KAM, It means that yo have disconnected the batteries. No big deal.
Most diesels run a little rough when first fired up or in the colder temps.

It would have been better if you mentioned all the codes or symptoms in the first place.

The EOT is your starting issue and...Yes, it controls the amount of time the the GP's are ON. But more importantly....It also controls the the timing and amount of fuel required for starting no matter if it's hot or cold. If the EOT is shot the PCM thinks the engine oil temp is -29ºF every time you start the engine.

Not sure how much for the sensor. Here's some part numbers
Oil Temp Sensor (EOT) , Engine

* International) 1814320C1 (engine serial # 375548 and below)
* (International) 1824451C1 (engine serial # 375549 and up)

Oil Temp Sensor (EOT) Connector, Engine

* (International) 2501106C1 (dealer must get these in 10 packs. May or may not order if you only want one...)
* (Ford) E1AZ-12A648-A (not available?)

("http://www.terminalsupplyco.com/default.asp") FPT-91-6995

Here's the Factory repair procedures:
