Wheel bearings 2002 Explorer

I was wondering if anyone has any tricks to removing and changing out the rear wheel bearings on a 2002 Explorer. It is a 4x4 and I am going to tear into it tonight. Thanks

if you have an independant rear suspension, the rear bearing is a sealed unit with the 5 bolt hub. the bearing pressed into a spindle assembly. You take the entire bracket off and go to a 12-20 ton press to disassemble. you must push the parts to gether in the right order to reassemble. dont load the outer race by pushing on the inner race to assemble. its ben 2-3 years since i did this, but remember part of the story. ther is a writeup on this page somewhere.
