I had to place '4' in the quantity box and then when checked out the buy 3 get 1 promo applied when I ordered mine ...
You might be screwed???
You can't enter 4 as the quantity. You have to enter 2 for the front, and 2 for the rear. They are different shocks for the front and rear, you might want to call them if you ordered 4 of one stock number.

oops -- you're right - my mistake I meant 2front and 2rear .... When I ordered them I almost forgot that myself - lol
Just to keep any of the 2WD peep on the up and up, Summit has the 2WD Billsteins for sale. I was talking to a salesman from shock warehouse, and they are looking into it. But confirmed that the billstiens are buy 3 get 1 free at summit racing.
I was going to take mine to a shop to do them - but I was able to do them myself with a little help. The front went in real smooth. Just remember you need a REAL long extension for the rear top bolts ! I even did the sway bar while I was at it - Ride improved 10 fold with the new shocks an sway bar ! and yes - I did blue on top ...
...it shows how the boot goes to the top on the Excursion.
i'm not looking to split hairs i'm just trying to help. those instructions are for rancho shocks i thought we were talking about bilsteins. i just installed them on my 2000 f350 4wd and bilstein says they go boot down. bilstein are the only shock i've seen that sometimes get installed like this. so if you are installing bilsteins why not double check your specific vehicle.

I'm going to look into it before I go any further.
Just seems strange.
Bilstein has an eastern regional office in North Carolina. I will call them Monday.
With the boot style on the Bilstein Shocks if you mount them with the boot on the bottom they would hold all kinds of dirt and water, That would not be good for the cylinder shafts or seals. Some of the off road style shocks have an accordion style boot that gets clamped or cable tied top and bottom,I believe those shocks can mount either way. Bilsteins go BOOT UP!!!
