Good stuff, but here's something you can try to know for sure.

Get some cheap white spray paint and paint a stripe across the tread a couple inches thick. Then pump them up to maybe 10 less then max (max pressure on sidewall) and go for a short and slow drive around the block. Did the paint where off evenly, or more in the middle or edges. The paint will wear off where the tire is wearing, you will want as much pressure as you can get (within the max) and still have even wear. If the paint is comming off more in the middle of the tread the pressure is too high, if it's comming off more on the edges the pressure is too low. Give that a try and you will know for sure what is best for your truck.

PS. if you can run the max pressure and get even wear you probably need tires with a higher load rating.

You know I never thought about that but that is a good idea and probably the best way to find out what would be the best psi on a specific vehicle , weight, tire width, tire ply, and all other various things factored in already. Possibly a little time consuming but I think I will do this with my truck also. Good job opossum

A single stripe of White tire chalk works as good and doesn't make the mess paint does.
