Running Lean? Smoking?

Well, the ol girl has been acting wierd the past couple days, she seems to be low on power and smokes real good even warmed up once wound up past 2.5K. She's always smoked a little, but she is def killing all the mosiqituoes in the county now.

What could this be a sign of?

This is probably mute and dumb but what is your air and fuel filter like.

air intrusion at the return lines makes no difference on how the engine is running once tis running, as the pump moves more fuel than the engine ever needs so the excess fuel pushes any air back to the tank, and at the engine you get a fuel leak instead of an air intrusion. Air intrusion in the return lines affects startup, as it very efficiently prevents it.

Air intrusion before the lift pump tho, that's an evil thing - how's your fuel line under the engine? But yah, check the filters first...

i hope that is all it is, but i use only one station to fuel, and it does enough business to get 1 - 2 fuel dumps a day, i figured with that much business it would be a good fuel source.

Fuel Filter is only a few thousand miles old, but it may be fuel line before the IP, I'll give a better look tomorrow.

I don't think its my fuel because I only buy from one station.

They are still the orginals, so I know they have over 250K miles on them, not really sure how many more tho, cuz the truck hasn't had a speedo in years.

I knew they are getting old, but they went from just a little smoke when she's cold to turning into a smoke machine in one day.

Change the injectors and probably the IP to. Mine was doing the same after new injectors. The pump was giving up.
