Ok seriously now. Can you get to the bolt head easily? If so, cut a deep straight slot in it with a Dremel and try to remove it with a screwdriver or screwdriver bit in a ratchet. If there's not room for that, cut the bolt head off with a Dremel. Usually with the bolt head gone the threaded portion can be turned out with vice grips... the bolt head holds all the tension on the fastener. Try it and let us know!
if its not aluminum, and if its possible heat it up, and then hit on a 12pt of the size smaller, did that with a u-joint bolt on a big rig, tried almost everything before i did hat and now it fits the smaller size perfect only thing is it was a 12pt bolt...
Bolt extractor never got a good enogh bite to loosen bolt, used dremel tool and cut slot for flat bladed screwdriver, very hard to get dremel in there to cut good slot. No size screwdriver would work without slipping out of slot, even with manual impact driver.
Remove IC to get more room, was able to sit on ground and put my face in front of the bolt with enogh room to swing a hammer, still could not get extractor on good enough to get a bite, after several attempts i got a 9mm 6pt hammered on and bolt loosened. Praise god, after 3 afternoons and several trips to parts stores the bolt came loose. Everything went like clockwork from then on out.
Amazing how one bolt can turn a normal project into a complete nightmare.
Thanks everyone for the advice, i think i used every suggestion given.
You guys are the best.
Grind the top of the bolt off then remove water pump grab the bolt with parrot nose pliers.
Was my last resort, was scared to get bolt out after grounded off because of limited space to get parrotnose pliers in there and then turn bolt.
Thanks

Was able to get next size smaller socket 6pt without heating up, worked for me.
Thanks
