Tech was impressed!

I took my truck in the other day, to have them look at a my belt/ pulley that squeeks all the time. Naturally the truck didn't make a peep, even though it has been doing it constantly for the last 34,000 miles. While lookiing for the noise the tech noticed my coolant filter. He asked what it was and what it was for, I explained it to him and he thought it was a fantastic idea, and was very impressed. Thanks for letting me know about this product and keep up the good work guys!

Glad to hear a tech. had something good to say about it, the tech. saw mine and asked what it was for, so i told him and they he told me how it was a waste of time any money and it will knot prevent anything otherwise ford would have put on in. Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth about him, but he is a good tech, and has done all the warentee work. I tried to tell him how all big equipment i operate and large trucks have them but he was not amused.

If Ford is so perfect then why isn't the 6.0 just as perfect?

I called my dealer and asked about installing a coolant filter. He thought it was a good idea and said it would not void the warranty as long as the unit was not a direct cause for failure, like the hose blowing off and losing coolant leading to....

So I placed my order. I should have it shortly.

My tech said pretty much the same thing when i asked him about it. Said it wasn't necissary for the money.

Just wondering who "owns" the truck, you or the tech? I have plenty of casting sand to show them if they are not convinced....
