I recently did a brake job and installed new Motorcraft rotors and pads on the front of my 2000 Excursion. During break-in everything seemed fine. However, after a couple of weeks I now have an extreme pull to the left when braking.
I installed the "updated" guide pins with the rubber insert during this job as well and noticed the pins seemed to want to create a vacuum and not pull out or push in very easily. Right after the job the feel of the pedal was very nice, firm and consistent.
Has anyone else had this issue? Could the pins be causing this problem? Could it just need to be bled?
My F-250 did this once. The passenger brake caliber stuck open. The driver side was working fine - but caused it to pull hard that direction. I would check to make sure you caliber on the passenger side is still working correctly.
