Actually Platinum. It goes for over $2,000 an ounce. There's a between 3 and 7 grams depending on the size of it of platinum in it.
There's also Palladium and Rhodium. Prices are running about $445 and $7300 an ounce, respectively.

I could be wrong but I think that it is only 50,000 miles on the 2005 models.

so turns out that i have 75 PSI in one cylinder and theres probably a lifter hanging
... so i took it to the shop that a guy i know runs and he is going to tear into it... now i just have to cross my fingers and hope he is willing to let me trade hours on the softail harley he needs rebuilt!

Ya. I got thinking about that after I typed it. We were having trouble with thieves cutting catalitic converters off trucks with sawzalls to get the platinum money from salvage yards. Thats a whole other topic though.
