i am looking for a 4-6 inch lift kit for a 2003 super crew xlt 4x4. i am looking to spend as little as possible on this kit and wheels and tires. any ideas??
What do you mean you want to spend as little as possible?
You could always go the cheap route and do torsion bar and blocks, or a less cheap route of body lift. But those won't achieve quite the height you want. Or you could go with a pre-used lift kit for about a grand, or new for about two grand.
And you don't want to go cheap on tires, not if you're going to use it for off roading or towing at least. There are nice tires made in china, agressive treads, inexpensive cost, but quality control is nil there, thus separation, cracks, stuff like are "normal."
But whatever you choose to do with the lift, will be fine. Just don't skimp on the tires if you're going to put them to real use.
