c6 tranny problems

c6 tranny problems

i have a 1885 ford bronco eddie baur edition 4x4 with a c6 tranny

i think my bands went out im now sure mut i don know i dont have drive at all i can go in revers all i want does any one know if i replace my bands or tighten them will that work or is my hole tranny shot and do i have to drop my tranny to put new bands on????????

does anyone have a real cheap c6 if i do have to buy one???

get a haynes manual and follow the troubleshooting procedures for that tranny. also please work on your typing skills as what you said is hard to read/understand.

do you guys think my tranny is shot if i only have reverse when i put it in drive it acts like it is in nutreal

Sounds like its toast, at this point i dont think adj. will help. Is it full of fluid? What color is it ? Does it smell burnt? As pointed out in an earlier post buy a manual and follow the procedure to diagnos your problem. Or you could ask a tranny shop.

your vacume modulator might be bad or the vacum lines going to it are broken. thats why i said to get a haynes manual and follow the troubleshooting procedurs
