98 Explorer Clutch
I've got a 98 explorer with 171 K miles on it. I was pulling check engine codes for a while but changed the plugs and wires and the fuel filter and ended up fine. My only problem is my clutch slips. I can get the engine up to about 3 and a half grand and let out on it pretty hard and it will hold the RPMs for a few seconds then drop off without grabbing hard at all. Is it worth replacing with that many miles on my vehicle?

If there is nothing else wrong with the truck I wouldn't let a clutch send it to bone yard. If you can do the work yourself, it should only be a couple hundred $$ in parts. Don't forget to do the slave cylinder.
