Hi all,
I was driving along the other day, playing the music kinda loud, and something started buzzing with the bass. So, I was reaching around grabbing pieces of trim to see if I could find the offender. I grabbed and jiggled my gauge pod, and all my dash lights went out, except dummy lights. I found the blown fuse, but it just blows again whenever I turn the lights on. I took off the gauge pod to make sure nothing was crossed, and couldn't really see anything obvious. Anything else I can check?
Sounds like you have a short to ground somewere in the guage lights that are hooked to the dash lights.Check the wires again and look for a pinched wire are were it may have rubber through.
AND TURN THAT RADIO DOWN.. JK,I like to crank it up to
maybe the "buzzing" of the gauge pod shafted one of the wires underneath it an its shorting out.
i'd do whats already been said an "check the wires under the gauge pod for condition"
and/or follow each of them to there destination for condition.
sounds like a short, thats what can cause a fuse to blow.
Disconnect the guage light wire where you grabbed the power and try it.
If it still blows the fuse....it aint the guages, if it don't blow the fuse.......chase those wires down for a short.
