I ran a few searches and turned up nothing. I know you can start the truck and let it idle then run a small amount of propane (unburning of course) over the vacuum lines. If there is a leak the truck will pick up and run much better. Well I'm at home and dont feel like going to buy a handheld propane torch so is there something else that can be used? I have acetylene, but not sure if that will damage motor. Thanks
There ain't much to leak?? no intake manifold/carb like a gasser, have heard a can of WD-40 works good as all it is is diesel fuel with a propane propellant....
Simple but effective. Use some flexable 3/8 to 1/4 inch tubing tie wrapped to a dowel rod. Move the dowel around and listen to the other end. Its harder to hear on a diesel but work well on a gasser.

That won't work on our trucks, the vacuum is created by a pump, the propane would just follow the line back to the pump and have no effect on rpm's
Yep what Rodney said. Vacuum isn't created by the engine. No throttle plate to create it. A gauge and hand pump while isolating parts of the system is about the best way I can think of finding the leak.
