Does anyone know where I can get the little U shaped clips that hold the fuel lines on the fuel tanks and tank selector switch on a 90 model? I'm replacing the fuel tank and I broke one gettin it out. I checked with Autozone and Oriely's and they don't know what I'm talking about. I hate to wait till Monday and The Dealer opens up. I need this truck at work Monday.
Thanks guys. I found them on Oriely's web site. Even says they are available in the store that told me they didnt know what I was talking about. I'm gonna take the part number and head back over there in the morning. Ever get the urge to drag a parts guy over the counter and choke him? LOL Juss kidding.
Galute, I know what your talking about. I had called the same O'reilly's and they told me they had the GP's I wanted. I went to pick them up and they had........ autolight, not motorcraft. I had to run about 60 miles to another store to get the right ones which wasn't bad, nice day for a bike ride.

Not only had the urge but that was years ago and times have changed.
I get my parts from Advance auto. Fortunately my store has some knowledge, and have helped me numerous times. My old store lost my business when I overheard the manager talking about an old air-cooled VW bug overheating. The new one has a few old guys that resemble the old guy at the shop who knows everything about everything, and a few guys that should be mechanics. Rare for a parts store. Most of the guys are cork soakers that don't know anything. You just gotta force them to find the right thing on thier database. Belittling has worked for me.
I wonder if he knew you had to run a triple dose of SCA's on those old VW Beetles to prevent cavitation.
I really like the list of specs you have to spout out about your truck to get any parts for it.
