Spray On Bedliner Removal

My spray on bedliner has some chunks that have been knocked out of it over time, and I'm thinking about pulling it out and having it redone. Any suggestions on getting the old out without completely destroying the bed? Would it be more cost effective to take it to a shop and let them deal with it? Your advice is appreciated!!

Who did the bedliner?? They would be the experts. The two biggies here, Linex and Rhino, give lifetime warranties.

One of the easiest ways to tell what you have is...the Rhino liner has actual large chunks in the texture itself. The Line-X is finely textured, comparitively speaking, and usually they stick a little badge in the corner of the bed.

Hope this helps, I would take a picture of mine for ya but I have a black truck and the bed liner would be hard to see.

Part of the problem is there are so many different liners out on the market today, it could easily have either of the textures, but not necessarily reflect that particular brand inwhich you've listed. Sort of a catch 22 if you will. I don't know if I should use like a heat gun and soften (or try to) and basically peel it like a banana or are there other alternative methods?

If you take it to someone they can just patch it for you. No need to pull all of it out just to redo it. Should cost less than $50 for little stuff.

The company that did mine went under so I just took it to a line-x shop and they patched up the pieces that were pealing/scratched. Looks great and cost $30

Yep lifetime warranty no matter who/where you bought it from or take it too.

Make sure and call and setup an appointment. They don't like it when you just show up and tell them you want free work done.

^^^ Yes I believe it is, however some of the manufactuers will only offer this to the original owner.
