Injector CCT Dang
My Grey CPS was install in 2008 March, under recall.
HPX
CCK
56 PSI FUEL @ idle (i know, need WOT reading)
480 IDLE 2868 WOT HPOP PSI
REMAN INJECTOR IN #8 (LL DELETE)
Under 600 miles on RetellaT 15-40 Non-Syn (last October)
Fuel filter changed same time
Well it seems the black CPS changed a few things.
With Grey the CCT failed #3 occasionally and #8 always.
With Black the CCT failed #8 after starting and running for 5 minutes cold. After everything warmed up 20 minutes. I tested two more times and no failures.
One thing i noticed.. No more Knock,Knock,knock,knock.. WHAaaAT ? Wooohooo. (maybe an ever so slight knock but barely noticeable to me now i know what i am listening for) Coincidence? Air in line from putting in reman? Seems to be quieter than before. I noticed it right off. I ran about 200 miles now sense the reman #8(LL delete)
Should i leave things alone? Should i swap #8 and #2 when my orings come in? Everything look safe now? Got the data just don't know if the data tells me if something is bad and will hurt something. Runs Super, but always did. Slight shake at idle. enough to shake the lap top monitor a tiny bit. Always did.
The crossover should help with the non-LL. Since #8 is in the acceptable reading, and you're not tripping any codes with it when warm, I'd just keep an eye on it. It won't hurt to swap the injectors around if you want to. My guess is the one in the #8 hole will always read higher. The question is, will a different injector drop the reading down a little.
I'd say your truck likes the black CPS much more than the gray one.
I did the LL delete and cck in an attempt to get rid of my Knock. Well it seemed the knock went away. But concerned of hurting #8 piston/valves. It apears the black sensor took the knock away. Not the cck or Injector although it did help.
I know kwikkordead had issues with his reman injectors, so it probably is a good idea to do this while you still have a warranty.
I just drive it now. I got tired of messing with it.
