Hey I got a question I just got a really good deal on a 95 crew cab powerstroke F-350, but it has a blown head gasket. what head gaskets should I replace them with? certain brand or use the stock ford ones? I do plan to do head studs too. what about intake gaskets too any certain ones I should use?
I checked the rad and theres oil in there. I haven't chck yet to see if its actually the head gasket that is what is was told. My buddy I got it from says when he turns it over coolant leaks out on passenger side somewhere.
Coolant leaking on the passenger side floor board? Loose fitting on the heater core or broken/ cracked heater core. Its in the dash by the fire wall on the passenger side. Thats what I'd guess based on what you said.
Sorry I meant to say shop floor. It leaking coolant on the passenger side, in the engine bay on to the shop floor. Gettting truck brought over to my house tomorrow so hopefully will get a chance to check it out.
OK I got sometime to look at it, there is a what seems to be a plug of some sort on the back of the head on the firewall side oily water is squirting out of there. I don't know what that is.
The water that is coming out is milky brown. So would it be my head gasket or oilcooler or injector cups? Whats the best why to check to see what it is ?
ok i did i finally had some time to check it out. when I drained the oil there was about 2 litres of coolant in the oil pan, going to pressure check the cooling system and see if its the injector cups today.
