Hey guys,
I have been experiencing a little slugishness in my truck. I have an edge evolution programmer and I checked trouble codes. This is what I got.
PO 113 Intake air temp what and where is it?
PO 236 Turbo Boost, same thing what and where?
I looked in my chilton manual but chiltons arent what they used to be, I couldn't find the info I was looking for so I am hoping someone will be able to help. I have not been disapointed yet. Pics might be helpful if poossible.
Thanks
do you have an aftermarket air intake installed? if so the air intake sensor is probably unplugged. wont affect the motor at all. it is located near the master cylinder and would have plugged into the factory air box in that general area.
the 236 is a map sensor code, do you have any power problems?
Ok getting back to this issue finally. I checked the hose for blockage and it was clear. so I unplugged the MAP sensor and drove the truck and no change in performance at all. It drove exactly the same so I am convinced that the MAP sensor is bad. Does this sound right?
you can check it on the schrader valve on the fpr. The fpr is on the side of the fuel filter. the schrader valve should what looks like a valve stem cap on it. If you have 49 state emissions you should be at 50# cali should be around 70#
So can you check it with a tire gauge or is there a special fuel pressure gauge to buy? I know exactly where you are talking on the schrader valve. I seen it the other day when I was under the hood.
A tire gauge will only give you the high pressure reading and i am not shure as to how accurate it would be. I know sears sells a fuel pressure gauge for around 45 dollars.

P0236 = Turbo Boost Sensor A Circuit Performance
I'll bet the MAP is bad. You'll need some way of measuring frequency to test it though.
Ok I replaced the map sensor but before I did that I checked my codes again and got the PCM keep alive memory code. I can't find anything on that in my manual so If someone can explain that one that would be great. I think the chilton manual is going in the garbage, I get more information out of everyone here than I can get out of that thing. once again thanks everyone for the help.
