Well, as of right now. my Dp might be in the mail, my guages are in the mail, my pod is in the mail, and my rubicons are in the mail.....What happens.. I bust the front leaf spring....I call around here, I get prices, they are from 220-195.. I call Ed, and as I am sure you all know, he has the price beat by far.. but plus shipping.. so, it is right back up with my lowest bids.. Do I beg Ed for forgiveness, and use his price as a bargining chip? And Thank Ed for just being the best thing out there.. do I order from ED.. Do I just drive around with a busted leaf...
I want to just order from Ed, but I forgot to ask his delievery.. I can get the others by Wednesday..And I really am tired of waiting for stuff
Darn Pat. you are waiting for a heck of a lot of stuff. Let Ed give you the best price and go with it. You don't have much time to wait. All your stuff will be coming in soon, so get busy. Congrats on all the PMS mods. . I think you need a huge PAA meeting.
find out shipping info from Ed. If you can live with the time frame go for it. If not he is a big boy and will understand. Then use his price as a chip against the others. Just don't use them against him.
Never mind.. I want Ed to have my Buisness.. I am not going to break anything soon with out this leaf.. I am just going to need to replace the plastic in the wheel now because of it.. I think I am ordering from Ed.. I would rather see it here on this site.. and it is a great exercise in patience.. something I dont want to exercise by the way...
Not to take anything away from ED, but Crystal Truck Parts in Dearborn, Mi has a set (2) used F-550 4x4 front leaf springs for $150.00 for the pair, might want to upgrade while your at it?/?
I had a leaf bust a couple of weekends ago. I was pressed for time so Ed would have been a day late (and $120 in shipping). Called around and found a 'friendly' dealership (minimal markup above MSRP), got a military discount and got my front leafs local (their price was still a little higher than yours before shipping Ed). Dealer next to my house wanted $250 for code V springs and I was able to go a little farther away and got them for $174/each new. Just put them on yesterday (8 1/2 hours of fun).

but at least everyone is thinking of me first, and that is all I can really hope for.
