I'm moving soon pulling my 28' enclosed trailer and looking at getting a load distributing hitch with sway control to make the pulling a little easier. Has anyone used one of these or have any recommendations for one that worked well and is somewhat user friendly? Also, where is a good place to get them?
But you don't really need to spend that much for most applications. Any RV shop will sell you one. They can also install and properly adjust it for you, which is much more important than what you pay for it. If you don't know too much about them, you might want to spend your money locally.
You have to have them here By Law if your tongue weight exceeds what the truck is designed for. Depending on what you are hauling, it would be silly NOT to have one.
Look online at Husky, Pull Rite, Equal-i-zer, and Hensley. I think Reese has also come out with one that's pretty good. The Hensley is fantastic but so is the price. The Husky looks pretty promising as well and the prices aren't as bad. If you're going to buy the WD hitch, definitely buy a sway control hitch. Most of them are pretty user friendly and get easier to set up with practice and use.
