A freind of mine(yes i have freinds) has a flare side bed from a 95 f150-my truck is a 86 short bed fleet side will it work and do u guys thank it would look good and is there eny pictures out there
The 95 has rounded wheel openings and the 86 has squared openings. You might updating to a 87-96 front clip while your at it. If you find a 80-96 flareside bed let me know. Hard to find short wheelbase beds here that arent beaten and abused.

If he updates to an 87-91 Front clip,it won't be right to us Ford purists, because Flaresides were only made in 1987 for the 87-91 body style, and the beds are the same as the 80-86,just with round wheel openings. In 1992 when they brought back the Flareside, the whole box was redesigned.
I know where there is an '87 Flareside with the round openings on the rear fenders. I know this is from the factory, because the same person has owned it since new. I spent enough time under and around the truck to know it inside out. It has the 302 with factory 4 speed. Really sharp looking ride. Also, most of us dont care about being "purists", we just want to have fun with our trucks. If we are putting 90's parts on our 80's trucks, purity went out the window. Hell i have even got 70's parts on my truck.
