ESP pays off again

About a month ago, I used ESP for the first time to replace EGR cooler. Would have cost somewhere north of $2,600, but free with warranty.

I just had o-rings replace on high pressure something that would have cost $1,360, but free on warranty.

Codes were Low Boost on Turbo, Low Pressure on ICP(?), and misfiring on #8 cylinder. I don’t understand how just replacing o-rings fixed all this, but it does run a whole lot better.

Nice to hear you are happy, Jim. However, those things would have been covered under your 5yr/100k motor warranty, even without your ESP warranty. But it would have cost you $100 each time, so your ESP did save you from that.

Great news that it's fixed correctly.

Good for you on that coverage, but wish you had no problems with your truck. How many miles on it?

Not hijacking, but I just got my first use out of my Dieselcare, the 13 point plan that gives me a couple more years on my '03. Zero deductible...turbo cleaned and CHRA replaced, test trip tomorrow to see if it is fixed.

The truck is an ’06 which came with 3 yr/36K warranty. Truck now has 120K. Bottom line is that I paid $1,450 for the warranty and have now received about $4,000 worth of work absolutely free, plus rent car. If I had that rate of return on my investments – oh, well, dream on.

I am only a little concerned that I have encountered two problems about 1,000 miles apart – but now I have confidence that the ESP really does work as advertised.

Ah, I see. Wow, that's a lot of miles for an '06!

The ESP has certainly paid off for you.

They probably cleaned your turbo, replaced the #8 injecotr and resealed the rest on that side, and ,replced the ICP. I also bought the ESP and have yet to use it. Man you do put the miles on...my 06 has 55k. She was a worker the first 2 years I had it now its a garage queen, so I am battling the low boost code everytime I drive it. It runs fine after the veins free up so I just clear the code and drive on. I know letting it sit is no good for it, I do drive it about once every week or so but lately its just not enough.

Glad to see the ESP works.

I bit the bullet and shelled out an additional 3 grand plus for 4 added years or 80,000 more KMs. I suspect if something is going to break it should do so in that time, if not then I have a good truck.

56,000 Kms so far, runs great and the Oasis seemed to just list some minor nags comparatively speaking

My mods are running boards - think they'll make me go faster?!?!?!
