2004 heater issue

I recently put the towing mirrors on my 2004 SC and now my heater only works on hi. Is this just coincidence or could they be related? Also being new to this forum how come when I do a specific search I get a ton of stuff that has nothing to do with that search. Also how do you get to the heater switch to check for trouble? Thank you!

heater problem ended up being the resistor behind the glove box, found this on the F150 forum. still need info on searching for specific items and not get a bunch of OT posts to sort thru.

i find putting whatever i'm searching for in "quotes" works. i believe its called a boolean search or something but it will search for the words together not seperate
