I have a 2008 XL.
It did not come with factory fog lights. I was looking under my truck and looked up the part, and seems to be a pretty straight forward 3 bolts to replace the plastic piece with the factory fog.
I was wondering if someone could tell me a safe way to wire up to my up fitter switch. I did not notice any factory wires for the fog lights.
I get the basic idea. I'm just concerned about the fuse size and wire size.
I don't want to short anything out.

The upfitters are already fused and relayed so you can wire direct.
But I also agree with storm, and thats how I wired my aux reverse lights, but I have read about lots of people wiring directly to the upfitter.
Here are the ratings for each switch.
Switches Circuit Color Fuse
Aux 1 CAC05 Yellow 30 Amp
Aux 2 CAC06 Green/Brown 30 Amp
Aux 3 CAC07 Violet/Green 10 Amp
Aux 4 CAC08 Brown 15 Amp

I installed them on my 08.
Check out FTE Parts Guy he had a kit already made up with a new headlight switch and harness.
1/2 hour install, no wires to cut, plug and play, couldnt have been easier.

If you wire to the upfitters consider not wiring to switch 1 or 2 as they are fused at 30 amps. Use 3 or 4. The wiring you install for the fogs if and where shorted will can possibly burn before the 30amp fuse blows.
