No doubt. I use to run a Cobra 29 scoped and tuned with white noise filter and wilson silverloads. Then I got rid of it when I got a new toolbox. Had dual antenna's but only one running, other was a dummy. I had pretty good range out here in Austin.

Oh I love it. 3-5 shift though will grab the snot out of you if you aren't prepared for it. She does run hotter then normal with the new converter I've noticed.

I've got mine mounted on the side of the toolbox...3' firesticks with a Cobra 29. I gave away my last radio that was peaked, tuned, and super modified with an amp. Now I'm starting over. Just realized where you were from...I shot through there earlier tonight coming home from dallas. Round Rock is the start of the Autobahn going south
