That's right you have one of the older turbos, so it screams down low. I have to wait til I get up to 70 for mine to scream.
Non-VGT.. I will miss the whistle of the VGT when I dump it for the II 62/70 this summer. Then again I'll be glad to get rid of the whole vane sticking bullcrap. What size are your injectors? I'm going with either 195 or 205's.
Mine are just 150s, my needs are few and believe me that still flows alot of fuel surprisingly for something that is just 40% bigger than stock. I can't imagine what 190s flow.

LOL no doubt. Eric and I are still blueprinting the setup but we're looking at around 600hp without juice. I'm still debating on his NADP Tranny or sending in a spare 5R with 4k on it to Suncoast. Hadn't decided. This summer is a full work up. New injectors, turbo, RR Fuel Return, Cross Overs, EGR Delete, Trans build up, FASS pump, etc.
You know what they say, go big or go home. LOL.

Yeah but the benefits of non-VGT is the fact you don't have to worry about the damn vanes sticking LOL. You do start to sound like a 7.3L tho.

You'll lose it down low, but since I'm sure the majority of us spend more time at higher speeds, you'll actually hear it more of the time then you do now. Plus there isn't a better sound in the world then hearing the turbo scream and all eight cylinders firing at high speeds. I've scared alot of people zoom zoom zoom zooming by on the interstate.

I passed a truck driver today on my way home, and as I was going by he told his buddy behind him on the CB "He's working that turbo now...truck sounds good". He had his window up when I went by him...put a huge smile on my face.

I bet that did put a smile on your face. I often wondered what they said about me as I went by them.
Suncoast is what I would do, oh wait, I did do that.
Yup. Eric's running NADP in his 12.1 sec truck, so that's kinda pushing me to it. I dunno, I'm kinda stuck on which route to go. How's yours been holding up? Did you do a upgrade or did you go full out and get the Comp upgrade with billet ins/outs?

Not really. The serious power added will make up for it but it won't be the same as my turbo scream with the VGT. I love listening to her idle with that high pitch scream.

They look at me funny. I guess because I have stacks on a small truck compared to them. I put my CB away a looooong time ago but I do sorta want one back. If only I could invent an invisible antenna LOL.
