Removed the power booster and master cylinder, pulled the steering column all this morning. Test fit the shifter rod. Just about ready to pull the engine and trans. Probably tomorrow morning.

Installed my stainless brake hoses and new prop valve. Am running all new line with spring guard. All I have left is the front axle lines and lines to master. Also pulled rear axle and fixed the leaking axle seal and replaced the axle bearings. Installed all new shoes, drums, wheel cylinders and hardware While it was out sandblasted and painted the springs and lift blocks. Motor also was pulled to replace the rear main and to clean and paint. Going to TBI it when it goes back in. Wired frame down in front and slapped a coat of paint on it. Sandblasted and painted the hood hinges and all the motor bracketry. No I didn't do this all in one day...its how I spent my weeks vacation.

Nice work!!!!!! My brother and I are also taking some time off this week to work on my 67. Got the work bench cleaned off this morning and got to work pulling the motor and transmission. Test fit the oil pan on the spare block and dropped it between the frame rails. Everything clears and I'll be able to drain the oil with the motor in the truck finally. Taking the transmission to be rebuilt tomorrow. Gotta clean clean clean then paint the engine bay.

Just doing a little each day. Anywhere from an hour or two just to knock out an item on the to do list. Pulling the engine and trans only took about 3 hours, including the time it took to spin the truck around in the garage and put it back. Last night we pulled the steering gear box and degreased the front section of the frame and cross member. Have the oil pan soaking in solvent. Plan is to put a coat of chassis paint on the frame today since the weather is so nice. Got more parts to do the oil pan and intake manifold swap, so we'll see how far we get today.

With all of that weight loss and aerodynamics, it should get better gas mileage now!

Haha. I don't suppose it could get much worse. I've burned about 3 gallons of fuel and it hasn't left the garage yet.
