Put my new diff cover on, and let the goo dry-- put a little paint on the cover first to spiff it up :-) Tried to get the front ball joints to take grease--- :-( have to try again tonight.

I drove the SD to Junction City for work yesterday to see how it would cruise at 75. It had been a while. I think I may need to do a front bake job again.

I pulled the rear driver side axle on the Jeep, I called my friend here in town with a press to see if he could meet me at his shop, but he was watching the all stars.. something rather.. something to do with baseball? lol!!

He said to drop it off tomorrow and he would press them off and on for me. : ) Happy Dance..

Jeep drove fine to work and back except when I got to town. I have something tapping pretty fierce on the top end, hopefully its just a loose rocker but who knows. Not going to jump into it for a while, I'm planning on bringing home a new project tomorrow

It looks to be black with a flat tire.

Seriously though, congrats. What are the plans for the new project?

Supposedly it's a fuel pump which is pretty common with this generation/drivetrain from what I can read. Didn't see any rust (other than the removable sidesteps) but it has hail damage similar to my truck and a non-color matching topper. I'll see if I can get it to at least fire up with starting fluid to hear it run and then load er up on the trailer

It's a 2000 2wd w/V6 so it has that going against it, lol. I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it after I fix it. May keep it (20ish highway mpgs and can still tow 5k ) since it's newer with less body damage than mine or I may sell it. Also considered selling both of the trucks and buying a nicer truck altogether but that's a little further down the road. I'll focus on getting it purchased and fixed first, meeting him at 10 this morning with truck/trailer.

I looked at the shiny new diff cover-- I can see it from the end of the driveway.

I'll give you a holler first if I decide to let it go. Don't worry, I won't be asking what I paid for it

I'll have to see how the other truck does in comparison before I decide what I'm doing with mine. Mine should be a little better than when I bought it (short of the hail dents, but I'd be more worried about the rust haha)

Put in new shocks all around, tranny pan gasket/filter/new fluid, new rear tires, trailer towing harnesses and brake controller, new radio.

Welp, deal didn't happen.....and won't ever

Went to the house and knocked on the front door, dogs barking but no answer. Texted to let him know I was there. Opened the hood to check it out since the doors were unlocked and a very angry woman came barreling out the back door yelling at me for being in "her" truck. I apologized and said that I was meeting someone there with a car trailer to pick it up for purchase. She didn't seem to interested in my explanation and said she was going to call the cops. We left as quickly and quietly as possible.

Yup, going to pass on this one I believe
