Bought a new cooling fan for the tranny cooler-- it made a world of difference - I can't beleive I didn't do it sooner. I need to trust my instincts more.

Well I waited til the lake around free bee dried up a bit then went out and checked for water in the oil (none) then pulled it around by the garage so tomorrow I can drain the diffs (i'm sure they took on water) then I get to pull Clint's trailer up to the house and check wheel bearings since they most likely took on water also.

Just as I turned into the driveway tonight Hoss started making a really bad noise from the tranny (kinda howling/growling) not sure what that is all about but it didn't sound good lol. Might have to take tomorrow off to fix it since the wife took the sploder into town to stay with her mom (MIL goes in for surgery @5am, and no, it's not to remove the stick from her......:-)

Drove POJ down to the lake saturday to haul some fishing stuff down so the grandkids could fish. That lasted about 15 minutes until they got board. I need to pull the dent out on the rear passenger side and fix the tail/brake light on that side. It only has lights on the driver's side. The better half finally even rode down the hill in it to the lake and back(about 200 yards one way). First time she had been in it. I don't think she was impressed. The grandsons liked the ride though and are ready to go wheeling again.

If I do it I will convert it over to the solid flywheel but that's still about $800. For that kind of money I can buy the last few items I need for the Allison swap.

makes a world of difference doesn't it? I did that about 6 months ago, and couldn't believe the difference.
