Gray plastic around rear window
03', scab, 4.6L, 4sp auto
What's envolved in replacing the gray plastic strip around the rear window mine broke all of the way thru right beside the brake light? Also is this a dealer item or can I get it aftermarket?

how did it break?
To remove the trim, you gotta remove the bolts from the inside of the cab. You have to remove some the inside trim from the back of the cab and then you can access the bolts. I'm pretty sure its a dealer only item, or salvage yard. You can paint it body color before you replace it for a little custom touch.

Mine Broke in the same place and I have yet to replace it or any intention to replace for it is not leaking at all. It broke right in line with the right side of the taillight so it's hard to notice but i like the idea of painting it.
Sounds like an item that can only be ordered or picked up from a cab in a junk yard. Good luck.
