I would not do anything other than Rhino liner and have a shop do it. They spray it on thick and have a lifetime warranty.
When I was there the guy also told me the dept of forestry also uses it for some of their tables because of how tough it is. Line-x is so thin you can see through it, I bought another truck that already had this on it and I wouldn't put Line-x on it.
i had LineX in my 95 chevy and it was my work truck, saw rocks and crap and hay quite often and misc tools, what ever you do dont get the colored ones they tend to faid as time goes on
don't get the cheap ebay do it yourself one it sucks first time it rained the bed liner turned white and i did the interior of my truck too and salt from your boots when it's snowing gets in there and stains it, you have to use alcohol to get it off and the bedliner chipped on me today put a wheelbarrel in the bed of my truck and the damn feet on it chipped the bedliner

I just put LineX on my 95. They sprayed it nice and thick. They even sprayed over the top of the bed and tailgate to protect the top of the bed and tail gate. We had to shave some of the LineX down to get the tailgate to close.
LineX has a lifetime warranty also. The dude that installed the LineX on mine wouldn't have sprayed ANYTHING thin. HIS and LINEX's reputation would be on the line. This is from the guy who does the insides of the equipment and control panels on PIERCE Fire Trucks.
dude NICE truck but what's up with your exhaust? kinda rusty down there lol really sharp truck though i love the bumper or lack there of if i had a 2wd i would definatly have a truck similar to yours
I don't really agree with what everyone here is saying. I cant see taking it somewhere and doing rhino lining or linex. My brothers truck is rhino lined, and it was over 800 bucks. I herculined the back of my truck for about 120 bucks. About 1/7 of the cost of the rhino lining. And as far as I am concerned if it chips, o no big deal, I can buy another quart of the herculiner, and roll it on, and im still not paying anywhere near 800 bucks. I do use my truck quite often, so dont think it never hauls anything. But for the price you cant beat the herculiner, plus if you do the proper prep work, and actually follow the directions, it comes out very good.

That pic is from last fall. I've new pics with the exhaust coming out the side infront of the rear wheel.

Stick with Line-X or Rhino.
I hear that Line-X retains it's blackness longer.
They DIY spray cans take weeks/months to cure. They stay sticky forever.
I paid the extra for a UV protectant to keep the "blackness" longer. LINE-X also told me they mix the resin stronger than Rhino.
I have a rhino liner in my 2000 f150, it has faded in the 8 years Ive had it. i put it through hell and back, causing a few scrapes in it, but the shop that did it gave me no hassle in fixing the problems. Lifetime warranty!!!
But in my 87 I'm thinking about spraying it myself. Done everything else on the truck so why not the bedliner also.
