fuel filters

just got a new fuel filter for my 1999 f250 7.3. its a napa gold series or what ever. my current fuel filter has 2 electrical connections on the fuel filter and my new filter does not. the 2 filters are the same size and look pretty much the same. should i return the napa filter and get a motor craft? i just dont know what the 2 connections could be, maybe a filter sensor or something? any advise would be nice.

To my knowledge there aren't any connections to the filter. Do you mean one going to the bowl heater?

No your heater is inside your fuel bowl, at the bottom. Your fuel filter itself just sits down in the bowl. You need to remove the cover to get to it. The cover may be attached to filter or it may not be.

My WAG is wires broke from the heater
