Road Trip!

well, i found out htat im gonna go to florida for a few weeks for free with my girl friend. her aunt is gonna rent a truck for us, pay for our gas and we are gonna stay with them as well, while in florida. im from basically lacrosse WI, going to orlando florida. so i have a few questions for anyone out htere who cares to respond.
#1) anybody konw of a good way to drive down there, keeping in mind 2)
#2) we want to make a trip out of the drive back. stopping here and there and just taking our sweet old time. so anybody know of any good spots, or any really cool places to go? i have barely been outta WI, and my girlfriend has only been out west, so we wanna do every thing we can when we go down.
I have tried map quest and such, but i have known them to be wrong also. so any help would be great.
thanks to all

Sounds like a good trip. Let me look around a bit and I'll see if I can come up with some stops for you.

it would be nice to watch the cubs at wrigley atleast one time.. seen them play at miller park one time, but always wanted to go to wrigley field. that mammoth cave looks kinda interesting also. same with hank williams grave site would be awesome. the only thing about getting a gps, is that i would only use it one time. unless the rental vehicle has one built in, then that would be good. thanks for the help all

All Hertz rentals have GPS in them. I picked up a MIO for around $100. Great unit especilly for the price

Tennessee has Lynchburg home of Jack Daniels. I went and it was pretty neat. If you are a fan of country music then I very highly recommend a trip to the Grand Ole Oprey.

Oh man, if i caught someone taking my gps, that'd be the last thing they'd ever do!

but i always, always lock my doors, even if im jumping out for a few minutes, cause it only takes a few seconds to steal something.

You'd be surprised at how many times it'll get used, never thought about it till my girlfriend got one for X-Mas and dang does it come in handy sometimes...

was at a party in philly and caught 2 dudes sitting on my toolbox trying to open my back window with a screwdriver ran back inside the house and got some of my friends (i'm the smallest one of all of them and i'm 6ft 210lbs) we acted like we where walking by the truck grabbed them and beat the crap out of them i think they saw my gps that i forgot to lock in my glovebox......after that we had to leave since i didn't want them to get their buddies and come back and ***** up my truck
