stop rust
And...
My truck's wheel wells were tared a long long time ago. Would it be worth it for me to do it again? What kind of tar would I use? And where would I get it from?
I also want to paint my frame now that I have my bed off. what is the best way to remove the rust from the frame. I was thinking to use a D.A. with 60 or 80 grit on it but I thought I would get your advice first. Is there a better harder type of enamle paint that I can use on the frame that will better repel water and keep rust away??
While I am painting the frame in the rear I would Also like to paint the U joint and drive line. The only problem is that it has some stuff that I can't get off of it. It is kind of like a hard dirt/oil/tar/30year-bake-time mixture. I'm sure you know how to get this off. I was thinking about useing one of those striping chem. But you tell me! I don't want to ruin a seal or anything.
Thanks for having the endurence to read that whole thing!!

Por15 works best on rust but Dupli-color's rust fix and Sem's Rust Mort work good too. Rust Mort is great for body panels as it is very thin.
As for cleaning, the final clean should be with denatured alcohol and either paint stripper of wire brush before that.
