Now I know a lot of people race diesel pickup trucks around here and I have no problem with it. But I recently made a comment on YouTube that diesel trucks were not really meant for racing, they were meant for towing and people seemed to think that was the weirdest thing they had ever heard. Maybe I'm old fashion (I'm only 17) but I think diesels should stick to towing. I was wondering what some of your opinions are. I'm not trying to start a big fight, like I said I have no problem with someone racing a diesel, just want to see what some of you think.
There nothing better when you are running on the interstate and you out run a lot of makes and models. I always wanted to asked the "losers" if they would ever tell any of their friend they got beat by a "DIESEL TRUCK"! I bet they would never say.
LOL. You're only 17? WOW. I'm 27 and when I was your age, me and the boys were drag racing ol' 90 model Dodge 2500's with the 12v Cummins in it. That was back in the day when mechanical was the only way and electronic wasn't that popular.
My beast is fast enough to smack just about any zip face infested import freak in Austin. I got a rep for being the one dude you never line up against. I love it and I'll continue to drop the hammer every chance I get. But in the end, I can still hook up and pull just about as much weight as everyone else can.
For me it's all about the jaws hitting the floor and the girlfriend's smacking their boyfriends because an 8,000 lb diesel truck just spanked their ****. I've had kids tell me they want to hand the keys to their $15,000 honda civics to get into the diesel arena. Never knew a big ol' hunk'o'metal would do what these kids in 2,000lb cars try.
I think Eric @ Innovative has a 12.1 sec 1/4 mile truck right now that's also quite capable of cruising the street.

I would imagine that you have never truly gone fast so the thrill of "dropping the hammer" on the streets of Austin is exciting for you. One of these days, you'll either grow up or face the consequences of your irresponsibility.

Removed Gawd I love you. You make my days on FTE so amazing!
Considering I typically do 160-180mph around the track on a sport bike, I think I've gone more then "fast" enough! Why don't you go harass someone else troll. Just because you don't have the ***** between your legs to live outside the box doesn't give you the right to be a little punk. Then again, you're probably some kid.
Oh and just a little insight. Line up means drag strip Removed Again, I just LOVE how you assume something you know nothing about...
WTF has happened to the kids these days?

Thanks for the laugh. Call me all the names you want, I won't return the favor. You're right though, I made an assumption that perhaps I should not have made. For that I apologize. I rather enjoy living inside the container. I spent enough time outside of it. Doing 6 bills through the mountains got old. Maybe if I would have slowed to 180 I could have enjoyed the scenery more but that would have been dangerously slow.
I do think that rep you talk about precedes you...at least in Georgetown. I've never gotten a ticket for only 2 mph over the speed limit. It's almost as if the officer was trying to make a point. Makes me wonder if you only "drop the hammer" on the track. But there I go assuming again... Have a great day!

Your apology is not accepted. Sorry, I don't tolerate those who assume.
The cop was making a point, it's called a speed trap. I thought it was super cute how he and 3 other bike cops pulled over 4 cars at once. That was totally awesome. Maybe I should have "dropped" the hammer and ran all of them over for being morons and stepping out into a busy street to force us to pull over.
6 bills? Unless you had a rocket strapped to your back, I find that TOTALLY FUNNY!
