ok, 1st of all this thread has been totally hijacked, but back to the original topic, to the original poster, i used to think the same as you, my truck is about the same as urs, 5.4, 4.10s, i got the 8 ft bed, point is diesels run alot better than the mighty(haha) triton V8, its amazing how good these diesels can move these giant trucks down the road, almost effortlessly. there is so much aftermarket support for these vehicles also. But its amazing that a truck this size can run with a car a quarter of its weight, simply amazing

Very true! I think that's why drag racing Diesels has taken off so well. Most would think it's near impossible to keep up with a car a 1/3 of it's weight.
Thank you for the vindication. It would seem my initial assumption was correct.
BTW, it wasn't a rocket, it was a General Electric F-110 I was strapped to.
You have yourself a great evening.
I always have a great evening. I start by grabbing me some chicken, then head down to Austin for some hardcore street racing. I always try to take out at least 3-4 pedestrians for the bonus points. Then I stand around scratching my rear while looking at all the pretty girls I can't have. Yep I have AWESOME nights.
No hard feelings Rush. Sometimes it pays to be young.
So 110 huh. What were you crammed into? 14, 15 or 16? Unless this was quite some time ago I doubt 14? If you were in a 14 then I totally love you! I'd give my life to get into a 14!
I recently made a comment on YouTube that diesel trucks were not really meant for racing, they were meant for towing and people seemed to think that was the weirdest thing they had ever heard. Maybe I'm old fashion (I'm only 17) but I think diesels should stick to towing.
People race lawnmowers and they're made for cutting grass. We're Americans - we'll race anything with wheels!
I raced at the NHRDA Desert Diesel Nationals in Arizona a couple of weeks ago, in the Sportsman ET (brackets) class. Talk about fun!

Redneck's at it's finest! Lawnmower racing is fun.
How was NHRDA? I'm hoping to hit Houston's this summer with the new engine and tranny. How was your runs?
