I drove 2 hours one way, on friday, to pick up some collision parts for a chevy that I am working on. As long as I was there I decided to go ahead and pick up 05+ headlights for my truck. Got the harnesses from a salvage yard this morning, just started working on it a little while ago. I have both head lights out, have the support cut on both sides and I was about to test fit the light on the drivers side to see if I cut enough. What do I know, I have two passenger side lights!!! I should have checked before I left with them, ,but I didnt. Now I dont know what I am gonig to do. There is no way in hell I am going to go to the dealer and get one, and I cant put the old ones back in now that its cut.
Ya might just hafta run around with a padiddle until you can get back to the junk yard. They might trade ya the driver's side for the other pass side. then you could pop it in while you were there...
Two words, Duct Tape. Stay under 100mph while the drivers side is duct taped in upside down though. There is a reason duct tape is the handy man's secret weapon, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
Well, I set out to make my truck look better and now I have one 05 light and one 01 light held in with drywall screws.... I have calmed down somewhat. They are new aftermarket lights and my supplier is 2 hours away. They billed me for one of each but must just picked the wrong ones from the warehouse. They do deliver to this area, but I dont have my account set up with them yet for my shop so I go through a buddy's shop when I get stuff delivered. if they dont have anything for the area they dont come over though. Its kinda a crap shoot weather or not I can get one quick by having them bring it to me. It could be tomorrow, or it could be next week.
