01 4.2 trouble starting when warm HELP

My 01 F-150 will start fine in minus 40oC, but once the engine warms up it and i turn it off let sit for 10 min turns over for about 5-7 seconds before it starts and when it does start it sputters for a few seconds then runs fine. Took it to local garage they cleaned the throttle body, changed the fuel filter, changed spark plugs and wires and did a fuel pressure test, did a diagnostic scan, and everything came back good. anyone else have this problem?

I also posted this on the 4.2L forum hopefully someone can help.

I don't really have any answers but I do have a suggestion. Next time you start your truck when its warm, turn the key to on and leave it there for a few seconds before hitting the starter, see if that makes a difference. If you haven't tried that already. I hope you get it figured out.

My 4.2 was never the best sounding starter but it always did. Warm or cold it always needed cranking time and sounded awkard for the first bit. It always started fine....even after I totalled the front off

I would check out the 97-03 forums man, there is most likely someone that had a similar problem to yours in there.

Wish i could be of more help!
