2001 4.2L trouble starting when warm
My 01 F-150 will start fine in minus 40oC, but once the engine warms up it and i turn it off let sit for 10 min turns over for about 5-7 seconds before it starts and when it does start it sputters for a few seconds then runs fine. Took it to local garage they cleaned the throttle body, changed the fuel filter, changed spark plugs and wires and did a fuel pressure test, did a diagnostic scan, and everything came back good. anyone else have this problem?

hi, minus 40 and starts and runs well, you would think every thing is spot-on. have you checked to see if the air filter is due for replacement as this would cause rich mixture, ideal on cold start but not so good on hot start. just a long shot but worth a check. bokker.
