on my 02 f250 the 4wd seems to have went out. the switch is good, i put it in my 99 and it worked, put a new actuator on it b/c i knew it was bad. the light does not even come on on the dash, what else could it be?
i can hear the actuator clicking, what about vacuum lines? not sure really. i can turn the hubs in and put it in 4wd, i know its not working, the front tires are not pulling so i know its not the dash light. fuse is good.
Please make sure your hubs are unlocked, then select 4 wheel high, have someone move the truck forward and look at the front driveshaft.
If you believe it is just the hubs, engage them manually ans seewhat happens, if it works then, Turn your floor vent on, engage your 4 wheel drive, if the vent changes to defrost, you have a vacuum leak.
