Replacement Grills,bumpers, etc.

Has anybody had any experience with JC Whitney stock replacement chrome grills, bumpers, etc? I have a 1986 F-150 I'm restoring.

Hi, We used them on my dad's '77. The bumper was great, and the grill shell fit fine, but was not Anodized (protective coating process that is used on polished aluminum). I hope this helps.

I also have an '86 that I am restoring. I have ordered several pieces from JC Whitney. I got a replacement lamp assembly and the entire grill. The grill shell was OK, but it had no emblem. The parts I had trouble with were the strips that screw in on top and bottom of the shell (between the headlights). They came in with the wrong finish. I ordered the polished and got brushed. I called them repeatedly to get my money back and 3 times they insisted on sending new parts. They were wrong every time! I finally got my money back and have not yet replaced those 2 strips.
