I thought the ABS light would flash out a code if there is a problem with something or another. I can't find through search what the number of flashes mean. Can someone help quickly please? The truck was just ran sideways into a tree and we're trying to figure out what's wrong with everything. Thanks.

You may need to provide more information for the FTE members to assist you. How many times is the ABS warning light flashing? Can you drive the truck or is it too damaged? If you can drive the truck, then you may want to go to AutoZone and have them read the codes. Knowing the codes will greatly assist you in completing the repairs.

 

When the key is first turned on, the lamp will flash a code. 2 flashes pause 7 flashes means code 27, etc. Tell us what the code is and we'll see if we can help.

 

Sorry, I didn't think about it last night. My parents don't have a whole bunch of money and this is my dad's only way to work so I was just really frustrated and kind of panicky. I am visiting and he let my 16 year old brother drive it and he was driving too fast on a dirt road apparently and slid off into the ditch into a couple of trees. Had to use 4 wheel drive just to get it on the road again. We thought we were going to have to use the tractor to get it out but it still ran so that worked out. It was drivable home but the bed is mangled and the cab is crushed on the left side. It actually ripped the 1/4 steel brackets holding the extra 50 gallon diesel tank in the bed in half. I had to use a grinder to get the left fender off. It ripped apart from the front and bottom seams of the bed and was only hanging on by the few rear spot welds but was so mangled that I couldn't get to them to cut them out so I just cut it in half. He's just thinking about getting another truck with a blown engine or something, and putting his engine/trans in it. This just sucks all around. Anyways, it flashes 15 times short and once long then 15 short then once long over and over. I checked to see if the brake lines were damaged and that everything was still connected but couldn't find anything wrong. Help please!

Did it ruin the frame? Sounds like it took a big lick.
