How deep do you go? It is always fun in 200+ft of water, you reel it up half way, only to listen to your reel peel all the way out of what you just fought to reel in.

Four hundred or so feet of 1/2" rope with a 5lb weight and 10 feet of 250lb test.Its a good work out.

I am trying to settle down and raise a family.lol I just moved the family up here this year to settle down.I am a mason that started bricklaying when I was a kid.Now I am set up to travel for work (if there is any)and get a different line of work going here.Oh yea and I shovel a huge amount of snow.

No pulley, there is sometimes 3 men in the boat and there is too much rope and gear to move around in the boat so we pass the rope.You'll have to get up here later in the year and give me a hand with it.

Halibut. roughly $12-$16 per 100 grams on the retail scene. You can do the rest of the math, that one probably weighs 60-80 lbs of fillets.
