15 foot aluminum its not easy pulling one of those of the bottom hand over hand and then into the boat.
What do you use, a rope with a hook on it?
How deep do you go? It is always fun in 200+ft of water, you reel it up half way, only to listen to your reel peel all the way out of what you just fought to reel in.

Four hundred or so feet of 1/2" rope with a 5lb weight and 10 feet of 250lb test. Its a good work out.
I am trying to settle down and raise a family.lol I just moved the family up here this year to settle down.I am a mason that started bricklaying when I was a kid.Now I am set up to travel for work (if there is any)and get a different line of work going here.Oh yea and I shovel a huge amount of snow.
I hope that you have atleast rigged up a pulley to drop into the oar socket, or something. Would sure make the pulling easier than just over the edge.
No pulley, there is sometimes 3 men in the boat and there is too much rope and gear to move around in the boat so we pass the rope. You'll have to get up here later in the year and give me a hand with it.
