Im telling you guys, I have participated in a cab off job on an 08 and it was nothing. The guy who did it had never done an 08 and it took him 5 hrs to do it the first time but now its nothing. People dog these trucks because the cabs have to come off to do some repairs, but if you have a lift to do it i see it as a gift from heaven once you get the hang of it. Just my .02
Totally agree with you. I hear more crap about how stupid it is that the cab has to come off for some repairs. However, I have talked with some techs and like you said it really is not a big deal. Especially for an experienced tech.

Totally agree!! One slip on the bumper and a foot goes in to the coolers. One belt buckle or snap exposed and you need your fenders repainted. One tech with a sore back from bending over all the time and he will rush to get the job done.
FYI......Suggest you continue to check your oil after completing the injector recall. I just received my Blackstone report for my first oil change since the injector replacement (5,000 miles). They found 3.5% fuel in the oil. I faxed a copy to my dealer. I'll post their response.
my truck is at the dealership for oil in the fuel. Tech told me is was probably the HPFP and would take about 4 days, he had just done one. I called today(day 3) and he said they havent touched it yet because of the injector recall. Wants to just do one repair.
