Floor Mats?

What are you guys using for floor mats. I'd like to not use any and just let the rubberized floor do the work, but the wife wants mats. The dealer put some of theirs in and they slide all over the place because they are made to grip carpet with those little points all over the back.

We saw some today at Pep Boys that are made by Goodyear, and have a more sticky surface on the back, they looked like they might work, but before we spend money on something I'd be interested in hearing some recommendations.

Just curious what everyone else is doing in this regard.

Thanks!

mat

i went to a local parts store and they had a set of full coverage mats, meaning they covered both sides plus the middle. i have carpet in mine so covering the middle hump is nice, and they stay put too. made of heavy black rubber, can't remember the name though. 26 bucks was the total cost.

I can't help you, but think it is funny that you have a rubber floor and want carpet mats, and I have a carpet floor and got rubber mats. It just goes to show that the grass is always greener on the other side.

i don't think carpet belongs in a truck, but thats just what most xlt fords have, i think walmart sells a full coverage mats, if i just had the uncarpeted inside i'd still get rubber mats for it.

I don't necessarily want carpeted mats- just ones that don't slide all over the place. It's especially frustrating when you step into the truck and the mat slides out from under your foot.

I have been looking also as I have a RANGER SPORT with the rubber mats. I would like something to extend the life of the original rubber floor mats. I bought some house mats with a rubber backing that I hope to try when the weather warms up.

I have a vinyl floor and tried the Ford HD rubber mats but found them to be too small. I found a set of Husky mats on Ebay for $45 delivered, they work great as they are larger than the OEM mats plus they don't shift around also have a lip to hold melted snow or mud. But with the vinyl floor, when it gets to dirty just Simple Green and the sheep crap, matted alfalfa and mud are gone. Chris

Good source of floor mats

I have found Auto Sport catalogue to have some very good options for me. I have an 2007 XL with the rubber factory floor even though I got the option that included the carpet I had them leave it off. I like it much better that way, and feel a truck should have a nice washable floor. It wipes out well and is practical which is why I bought the truck in the first place. Factory carpeting is the worst. It soils and wears quickly and you cant get it clean. It makes the interior look worn and old. I bought a berber one piece floor mat in a contrasting tan color, which is a closed loop carpet and holds up very well and is completely removable. It was reasonably priced as well . Over that I have either another carpet mat for the summer or weather tech rubber mats in the winter. I like the combination of the two mats over the rubber flooring. It protects the floor from wearing out and gives a nice look and feel underfoot as it does not move or shift around. Its all easy to clean and keeps the truck interior looking new. Plus the design and color look good to me.

I just got my 09 f150 xlt and under my rear seat on the drivers side my jack is bolted to the floor, which i hate. interferes with storage. But the pics above there is no jack, where is it located in this truck?

That is a good question,I just checked and didn't find it. Does anyone know where the jack is located in a 09 Lariat Screw?
