Oil leak
I have a 2002 Ford Ranger 3.0, 4x4, 6 cylinder, automatic with 99,000 miles. Every 3,000 mile, I make it a point to change oil and filter using
Penzsoil 5w 20 and Fram Tuff Guard Oil Filter. When under the truck and removing the oil filter, I can see oil film on the oil pan, I 'm attempting to diagnose where the leak is coming from the transfer case, engine or transmission seals? Is there a dye additive which can be added to the engine and transmission fluids to locate the seal that is currently leaking?

Lets think about this some more, seems to me, seeing as how air flow is always blowing the oil aft, you should be able to look foward until it's dry, then back up to where it begins to be oiley & be in the general area.
If you'll pressure wash the area to clean it good, then drve some, you should be able to spot the leak.
Is the engine or front differential, power steering, or tranny using any lube???? If so that could be a clue.
Any noticeable color or viscosity to the oil film or where a drop or drip collects????
